“Echoes” is an image I saw again and again. Until I painted it, it was in every blink and every feeling. This piece and I spent many nights watching the repetition of the moon, and even more nights regretting parts of my life where I had not been present. And so it speaks for the quick darkness in a blink. It is what I still see when times are most challenging. It partially illustrates the questions we all face: the possibility and impossibility of immortality, the quality of our chosen paths, and the moments that come without grace; Echoes embodies the hard parts of human growth.
